● 2009 HOMETOWN HOLIDAY EVENTS

Thanksgiving Evening, Thursday, Nov. 26, Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony - 7:00pm. At the fountain. Music begins at 6:30 pm with the Thermal Belt Brass Quintet followed by an appearance by Santa at his Santa House. Over 500,000 lights in down.

Sunday, Nov. 29 - 3pm, Forest City Christmas Parade - Over 300 entries. Sponsored by the Forest City Merchants Association.

Fridays - Dec. 4, 11, & 18 - 6pm to 9pm, HAY RIDES. Load across from the fountain. Cost: $2.00 each - Children or Adults. See the holiday lights from a hay wagon pulled by an antique tractor.

Saturdays - Dec. 5, 12, & 19 - 6pm to 9pm, CARRIAGE RIDES. Load across from the fountain. Cost: $7.00 Adults/ $3 Children under 12. Sometimes a sell out! Last tickets usually sold between 8pm and 8:30pm.

Fridays - Dec. 4, 11, & 18 - 6pm to 9pm
Saturdays - Dec. 5, 12, & 19 - 2pm to 9pm, SANTA HOUSE. There is no charge for the children to talk with Santa. Co-sponsored by Liberty Christian Academy. Photos are available for a $3 donation.

Sundays - Dec. 6, 13, &20 - SANTA PAWS - PHOTOS WITH YOUR PETS! Bring your pets for a photo with Santa at the Santa House. Sponsored by the Community Pet Center as a fundraiser for a $5 donation.

DOWNTOWN CRAFT SHOW & EVENT: Located at 109 W.Main Street. Sponsored by the Rotary Club.

Fridays - Dec. 4, 11, & 18 - 2pm to 9pm
Saturdays - Dec. 5, 12, & 19 - 2pm to 9pm
Sundays - Dec. 6, 13, &20 - 2pm to 9 pm

 

Remember the 2009 Holiday Season with a Collectible Christmas Ornament featuring the Town Clokc for sale for $12 at Downtown Merchant Locations.
